EMDR Therapist Certification
Licensed mental health therapists who have received the Certificate of Completion in EMDR Basic Training may choose to advance their professional standards of excellence, and strengthen their professional status, by becoming EMDRIA Certified therapists. To do this, 10 hours of individual consultation and 10 hours of group consultation by an EMDRIA Approved Consultant is required, as well as demonstrated mastery of competencies as set forth by EMDRIA. At Partners in EMDR Training, we believe that the best way to achieve this is in groups of two (dyads). During this process we will ensure that you develop and can master the skills required for Certification. Ultimately, we want you to feel that you have developed a level of expertise and exceptionality when providing EMDR Therapy to your clients.
Partners in EMDR Training will consider applicants for this process if they:
Have been working for at least 1 year post-graduate school under a supervisor
Have demonstrated a cooperative spirit and willingness to accept and respond to constructive feedback during the EMDR Basic Training process
